Have loved in our house over 15 years now. We have used Knepper Heating and Air for our HVAC needs. They replaced our old system shortly after we moved in and came back a couple months ago to replace that system. I have never had any issues with any of the technicians or products and service we've had with them. Chris was very informative about our needs and the options for replacing the system and on the day of install the techs who came out did a wonderful job. Our 12-year old heat pump had a slow leak, was noisy and expensive to operate. Looking for a replacement before it died, we got four bids, and threw out the high (hardware chain) and low (off brand). We ended up with a SEER 16 Trane single-stage with a dual-speed blower. We chose Knepper, who handled maintenance at our previous home, because they seemed to offer the best price/performance. Chris Knepper spent more time than the other three combined answering questions and examining our house. Installation took ~11 hours. The new system is much quieter; too soon to tell how much our electric bill will drop. UPDATE: Electric bills dropped ~20% with Trane. After a snow storm on January 10, 2025, the outside coils froze up 2 or 3 times over the weekend. I called on January 13 to set up a service appointment, and was scheduled for 8:30 the following morning. HVAC tech Doug arrived on time, and did a thorough test. Having dealt with several HVAC contractors both locally, Dahlonega, and elsewhere I can 100% testify that Chris Knepper is by far the most professional of them all. Before specifying the tonnage of the excellent Diakin unit for our addition. Chris and Dustin did a detailed take-off drawing on his tablet that showed each window size, orientation to the sun, how much shade is involved and location of the windows. This is in addition to the square footage and cubic footage of each room. Supply and intake registers were sized and placed per that information. His installers did an excellent professional installation of the ductwork. No sags and no abrupt turns. Our Diakin HVAC is whisper quite 90% of the time with only a mild swoosh on the rare occasions that it ramps up the fan speed. Great service. Called Knepper in the early evening after I discovered a problem with my air conditioner. They got somebody out the very next day. The technician Adam explained everything thoroughly and took care of the problem. Communication with the office was great. They worked around my schedule and kept me updated on his arrival time. The air went out at our store and Knepper were there quickly and Adam identified the problem and fixed it..as my bad luck would have it, the air went out at our other building at the same time! so Adam went over there and fixed it too.
